Newborn baby girl in daddy fire helmet

I had the sweetest newborn baby girl in the studio this week! She was a tiny little peanut and oh so cute! For some reason, she decided it would be really fun to watch me closely during her session. She kept a close eye on me for the first half of her session. Once she got her tummy full and wrapped up good – she slept so well and did great.

Normally a wrapped session is 1 backdrop fabric and 2-3 props. When mom asked about dad’s fire gear I decided to make that one of the props. She is still wrapped and happy and I love how they turned out! Seeing the way they looked at their newborn baby girl posed in dads gear was so sweet. I love when parents incorporate their life in the newborn session. It tells your family’s story better. I’ve had things like a broach that belonged to the great grandma that the baby was named after, Dad’s college baseball glove we put the baby in and of course fire and police uniforms. It’s always so fun to see these things in the end result with the baby.
