Simply Smashing Cake Smash

This trend is one that I am 100% on board with! The Simple Cake Smash sessions are simply smashing! LOL! I love the simplicity of these simple smash sessions. Don’t get me wrong the themes are so fun but there is just something about the baby and a cake with minimal decor that I just love! This way the focus is on the baby as it should be!

One of my favorite things about my job is when the little newborns come back to celebrate with me!! I get to ses how much they’ve grown and their little personality in full bloom! Little Roux was an absolute doll for her newborn session. She did amazing and her photos were so sweet. Roux was the cutest little thing as a newborn and even cuter now! She was SO funny and had me laughing for the whole session! Her expressions are priceless!!

Little Roux wasn’t into her cake really at all! She did have a lot of fun but not eating cake! Not all babies like cake the first time they taste it. I’m sure she’ll be a cake lover in no time though. Even if babies don’t like the cake we can usually get them to play in it or around it enough to get amazing photos! A secret – most parents will smash the cake for them and get them going on it! LOL! (I think the parents have as much fun as the babies!)
