Candy Store Cake Smash!
Last year about this time I had the privilege of meeting and photographing this little lady! She was and is such a cutie! I was so excited when her mommy contacted me to do her First Birthday Smash Session!
This theme was so so fun to put together! It all came from this little gals nickname – Lollipop! I love that they incorporated her nickname into the smash! What a great idea! Claire had THE best expressions! I only posted a few here so I don’t give away everything in the sneak peek. She had me cracking up going through these photos.
Not all cake smash sessions have happy babies that just sit for the camera and eat cake! LOL! Most have worn out parents covered in cake! This little gal was hesitant to sit in the set without mom but then found that the pom poms were so fun to throw and a little Bubble Guppies on dads phone helped too. Then the cake came out – this was not her favorite part of the session! She cried. We tried so many things, and of course, mom was covered in cake. BUT – these are SO cute! You really can’t tell she cried at all!
The best part I think for Claire was the bath and bubbles. I think these photos speak for how she felt about bubbles!
