Family Sessions are such a hassle…

You really would love to have updated family photos, or maybe you need updated photos of your kiddos. It’s so hard to get everyone together for a session. Things like finding wardrobe, getting dad on board (admit it – we all know this is not dads favorite thing!), carving out time for a session. Picture day is always so hard! Trying to get everyone ready and then you show up and the kids decide they don’t want to participate. They get goofy, won’t smile or they are just so shy they have a hard time. Mom and dad are getting more stressed with every second and you think this just isn’t worth it!! Read below for how I plan to get you the easiest family sessions ever!

So, How can I make your family session easier??

I have done mini Sessions for the last several years. I have seen so many things happen and I had 20 minutes to get the shots! The purpose of a family mini session, if you’ve never booked one, is to get quick family photos, typically in fall for Christmas cards and again in spring when things are green and flowers are blooming.

This year, I’m changing things up a bit! I want your session to be fun and as stress free as possible! You can let me know in the comments if you have any ideas to add, I am alway open to new ideas!

Short and Sweet or as Long as you need!

Most Mini sessions are just that; a MINI session! My sessions in the past have been 20 minutes. For some families this was plenty of time, for others it was no where near enough time! This spring I decided to not book so many back to back sessions and allow a bit more time. If we get it in 20 minutes that’s great! If not that’s ok too, I will allow plenty of time between sessions if I book more than one an evening. Now everyone can relax and just focus on having fun!

Discounted Price for Full Session Service!

Fall and Spring are the two times a year Family mini sessions are held. Mini’s are highly discounted sessions and designed to be just that mini. The only difference with a my mini is there are fewer photos to choose from. A mini session has about 30 photos to choose your favorites from, a full session will have around 60 photos. I will do my best to get groupings such as full family, kids together, kids alone, parents together and if we have time each parent with the kiddos!

This year there will be an incentive to book early, early birds will save $50!! You will need to book before August 15th for the discount. I will be offering full Family sessions again starting in September for return clients only! Pricing and details coming soon!

Mini Sessions made fun!

Your photos hold memories of not just the people in them but the memory of the day. I want you to look at your photos and smile, not remember how stressful the day was. During your session I try to play games with your kids and I work really hard to make sure dad has fun too! That way you can look back and remember a fun outing with your family not a stress filled day of yelling at the kids to smile…

What should we wear for our session…

This is the most asked question a photographer gets!  Right now I am in love with soft pastels and a more neutral palate. But to make it even easier this year I have a new service that I will be offering! I’ve signed up for a styling service called Style and Select, you will be able to go in and choose outfits, shop online or take the idea and pull from your own closet! For full sessions, I am working on building a client closet where we can style the whole family and you don’t need to buy a thing! Again – stress free!!
