Olivia’s Milestone Sitter Session

Oh My Goodness, I was SO excited to see this family again for Olivia’s Milestone Sitter Session!! I was privileged to meet this little lady shortly after her arrival. I photographed their Fresh 48 session at Mission Hospital and her newborn session a few days later. This little girl is so easy going and so fun now! Seeing this family is more like hanging out with longtime friends. This is truly the best job ever!

What is a Sitter Session? I like to break first year sessions into milestones rather than by months. Traditionally sessions were done at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months. Showing the developmental milestones is so much more fun – pushing up, sitting up, and standing. Babies develop at different paces and I want to capture those new milestones. I also have a Sitter Collection of outfits for clients to use. This way your session is all set and ready for you when you arrive, just bring the baby!

Olivia was all smiles at first, then got very serious about the light flashing. So many little ones come in and get serious! There are lots of new things to look at and a crazy lady behind a big black thing that makes a light go off when she pushes a button! That’s when the fun begins, the parents going nuts behind me to get the smiles they love! LOL! Someday I’m going to set up a camera to capture what happens behind me!
