Newborn photography requires specialized training and careful handling. Denise Hurdle Photography is the only APNPI Safety-Certified Newborn Photographer serving Waco and the surrounding Central Texas area. This certification includes advanced, hands-on newborn posing safety training. It involves ongoing education requirements. It also includes strict handling protocols designed specifically for those first delicate weeks.

STUDIO NEWBORN SESSIONS

Custom setups that will allow your baby to be the showcase in the photos, sweet little props that have them lying snuggled up so sweetly, that’s what my photo shoots are all about. You can sit back, relax, or take a nap here in the studio.

My studio is stocked with handmade props, backdrops, and outfits. As well as a client closet with sizes for almost everyone in the family!

WHEN DOES THE NEWBORN SESSION TAKE PLACE?

Newborn sessions are best when held in the first 3 weeks after birth. Babies are still very flexible during this time frame allowing for the cute snuggly poses.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE MY BABY FOR THE SHOOT?

I will send you a comprehensive newborn prep guide and a questionnaire before your session. This will allow your family to be prepared and for me to be ready when you arrive!

WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY NEWBORN SESSION?

It is best to schedule your newborn session in your second trimester. I do often have last-minute availability so always ask! If you are planning to do a maternity session, it is also best to book early in your second trimester to make sure we can fit you in!

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

You only need to bring extra diapers and baby’s food! I provide everything else!

HOW LONG IS A NEWBORN PHOTO SHOOT?

Newborn sessions almost always start at 9 am and end by noon or one. This gives us plenty of time for feeding, changing, and soothing back to sleep. The entire three to four hours won’t be for taking pictures. Newborn photo shoots are Newborn led meaning your baby is the boss!

I welcome you to my cozy studio just outside of Robinson, Texas for your newborn session. I conduct all photography sessions exclusively in my professional studio space.
