Orange County Baby Photographer
As new or expecting parents doing a Google search for Orange County Baby Photographer you will be overwhelmed with what you see! There are so many of us with different styles, prices, and experience. The most important thing is that you are 100% comfortable with who you choose! This is the person that will handle your most prized possession and create art. Please ask questions such as how they were trained and experience. I encourage you, if you have time, to meet them in person and see where they work and ask questions. Personally I have had my own home day care for 15 years and have my ECE units. I researched and wrote the safety policy for our church’s Children’s Program. I have taken several classes on safety taught from a NICU nurse and pediatrician view, and taken workshops to learn to wrap and pose properly, how to use props and how to composite.
Recently I have was accepted into APNPI (AccreditedProfessional Newborn Photographers International) I have just completed their safety course and will begin working on Accreditation in Newborns, Maternity and Children soon! Baby safety is the most important thing to me and as I always say I will not compromise your baby to “get the shot”! Every baby is SO different physically, they all move differently, and it’s my job to figure out and work together with your baby’s physiology and pose them accordingly.
Baby G!
This little guy was a fighter! He was tiny but oh so strong in body and will! This is why it is SO vital to have safety training! A strong newborn can scoot using their little feet. And, when they are placed in a prop and lift that little head it usually will drop at some point. It is SO important to have someone there to hold that little head. No bucket pose (or front facing) were done to prevent injury since he was so alert and strong. This little one was also awake for much of his session which is why he was wrapped for most images. When babies are awake their arms and legs are moving and can also cause injury hitting the edge of a hard prop. When we do a prop like the little bed, there is ALWAYS a spotter near the baby! I either have an assistant or use the parents for this job. You can not replace that little person so I won’t take a chance!
