Repeating Myself Again!

Imagine you stumble into a hobby that becomes a job that becomes a passion. Imagine that passion leads you to the sweetest people so many of which you can call friends…sounds too good to be true right?! Well, that’s exactly what happened to me! My hobby of scrapbooking/photographing my family became a job that I LOVE! This “job” puts me in a position to meet the sweetest people around! And, I get the opportunity to shoot things like this Family Maternity Session. I know I say it in every blog post but, I really I do have the best job and I do meet the sweetest people!

I met Sayuri when her brother came in for his little guy’s newborn session. She was pregnant with Connor at the time and wanted to check things out. She booked me right away and I’m so happy she did because I love watching this family grow and getting the sweet photos she sends of Connor with every email. 🙂 In every shoot Connor cracks me up, he has a big personality and finds so many things SO funny!! His expressions are priceless and curls for days! Having a mommy and daddy that can enjoy the moments with him and don’t stress about the little things helps so much. I wish I was more like that when my kids were little. I’m just thankful I’m more like that with my grandson and take the time to enjoy him! Life is too short, you really need to enjoy these little people that grow up way too fast!!

Irvine Park Maternity Session

When I got the email that they needed a Family/Maternity Session I was beyond excited!! Mostly because I got to see them again! We decided to shoot their session at Irvine Park. This park is great because it has so many different little areas and I can make each session look like a different location! There were still flowers! I was so shocked, I really thought all the flowers would have died off by now. I guess our late rains have kept them going and maybe even a few late blooming patches have sprung up. Whatever the reason it made for some beautiful photos.

My favorite things that night were Connor’s big blue eyes – Connor throwing the pink flowers they brought along and laughing SO hard when he did it. And, when I would take a picture of him and he would come running to see himself and try one more time to push the buttons everyone was telling him he couldn’t push! I may have gone a little overboard on photos of Connor but I did manage to grab a few of the family and mommy’s belly! Enjoy their sneak peek…

Maternity sessions are booked between 30-36 weeks. We want a nice belly but not so much mom is uncomfortable for the shoot.
