The Best Awake Faces Ever!
In a newborn session, we want baby sleeping for a few reasons. Number one for safety and two, posing is going to be much easier and look much better if they are asleep. We don’t have to worry about those wild arms and legs that want to move everywhere in the shot! If a baby isn’t sleeping or looking like they will go to sleep you will hear me say – “I’m going to wrap them up and start and they’ll be asleep soon – no worries!” This is why wrapped newborn sessions are so great! A wrapped baby is a happy baby! Most of the time this will put them to sleep and if not I get great awake shots in the wrap!
Chloe came in sound asleep!! I was able to get several poses right away – but then I unwrapped her! Once she was awake she really was alert! Not crying, just alert! I swear she even tried to talk to me! She is the cutest little thing with big eyes that will stare at you forever! She was so aware of everything – looked right at me while I was talking to her and gave me a big smile! We did fight over those hands of hers! She really likes them in front of her face, which doesn’t make for the best photos. LOL! I won a few rounds and she won a few – but in the end, we created the cutest images! She was the cutest awake baby!
Side note – Baby Bridgette from the last post and Baby Chloe’s daddies play soccer together! They neither one knew the other was coming to me for Newborn photos! I mentioned the last baby was a day younger and Dad asked if her name was Bridgette! Such a small world!!
