What is a Wrapped Newborn Session?

Recently I started offering Wrapped Newborn Sessions.  These are much shorter sessions usually lasting about an hour or a little more depending on if baby needs to feed.  These sessions include one fabric backdrop or fur and 2-3 props.  Wrapped Newborn Sessions do not include parents or siblings they are the baby only.  These sessions give you a great variety of images for those with a smaller budget or if you prefer to have only baby photographed.  For information on booking a session check out my newborn page,

I did this little guys mommy’s maternity session a few weeks ago.  They had just moved here from Australia when mom contacted me about a session with a puppy.  Since puppies rank right up there with babies for me I was in photographer heaven!  We had a great session and Goofy did amazing at only 4 months old!  Tilting his head at the right time and just being cute!

When mom asked if I had room for a Wrapped Newborn this week I was so excited.  I love meeting these little ones I photograph in the belly!   Wrapped sessions are so great because even when mom and dad think – he’s probably not going to go for this – babies always do great!  They love to be swaddled up warm and cozy just like in the womb.   This was the case for this little guy, he came in bright-eyed and within a few minutes of being swaddled, he was out for almost the whole session!  Check out his gallery below!
